Dance in intermedial space

premiered:

SZENE Salzburg | Salzburg | Austria | 2015

Description

Social movements can be cartographic like a landscape. Isolation within human biography, individualization in society, war between nations and/or religions, destruction of nature as well as speed-up within private and social live will be represented on this social and emotional mapping. Video projections onto bodies, floor and screens and sound collages reveal the (social) motion of cartography throughout the piece – that’s how the geography as “emotional landscape” for the dancer’s environment is built. Dance therefore is the original form to show and abstract movement and stay in constant exchange with its intermedial world. The double human being/insect is the primary choreographic research field for the body movement and his (social) structures; common nature is the primary visual research field. Carved out is the abstract insect language of the dancing bodies within an abstraction of real nature.
